CCPE Workplan Presentation 2009/ 2010
Article by: eNewsletter Comm
Posted on: 17 June 09
June 15, 2009, Aspire! EduServices (AES) HQ conducted its inaugural Work Plan Presentation on the CCPE Project for the year 2009/2010.
The event, held at the Grassroots’ Club auditorium is to highlight on the achievements on the CCPE projects while at the same time laying down the platform for future plans to further leverage and add value to its customers - the schools.

Managing Director of Aspire! EduServices Pte Ltd, Mr Victor Pinto in his welcoming address touched on company focus to bring the CCPE project to another level with several new initiatives through focus planning that he hopes will enable to maintain the high level of enthusiasm as well as for the CCPEs to stay challenged and focused.
Mr Michael Ong, CEO of parent company, Capstone Capital on his address emphasized on the company’s continuing commitment towards achieving a high employers’ development through its various programmes to build aptitude and attitude towards service excellence.
He was pleased to announce AES attaining the ISO certification and the company is in the process of its application for the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) Award.
From 30 schools when the project was first launched, AES has now has a total of 173 schools to date plus the Singapore Sports School. This was reiterated by Mr Rockey Michael when he delivered the achievement presentation.
He also highlighted that a number of CCPEs left the profession to undertake school roles like Allied Educators (AEDs) and Administration Executives (AEs) and this indicates well on the company’s selection process and the training has certainly prepared them for those eventual roles!
The work plan presentation continued with Mr Jerome Teo speaking on the core areas of improvements for AES to push ahead in the coming months.
These areas include system and quality improvements, staff and employees’ management, customers’ satisfaction and corporate social responsibility.
He also emphasized upon constant employee development to nurture their skills and realise their potential to deliver excellent service via company training programmes; while CCPE bonding will be strengthened via company endeavours like the Health is Wealth (HIW) to improve work and health life balance as well as other significant organized events.
Mr Jon Yeo, a guest speaker the took to the stage to deliver an inspiring and interesting topic on “Universal Laws” where given a set of thoughts and the understanding of these laws, it can manifest any reality one’s heart desires so long one is able to focus and work towards that goal. Only then will results manifest to one’s wishes or dreams!
The work plan presentation ended with an award presentation to recognise CCPEs for their outstanding performance in schools as well as for their contributions to the CCPEs community.

Aspire! 3rd Anniversary Celebrations cum Family Day
Article by: eNewsletter Comm
Posted on: 15 June 09
On 13 June 2009, Bottletree Park at Yishun was transformed into a mini kampong. That day, Aspire! EduServices celebrated the 3rd anniversary of the CCPE project. The event, with a theme of ‘Kampong Daze’ started early in the morning with the organizing committee members welcoming guests in sarongs and kain batiks.
Guests could feel the nostalgic atmosphere as the stage was adorned with two old rickety rickshaws decorated with traditional paper umbrellas, straw hats and wooden clogs of yesteryear. As they got to their tables, they were greeted with candies and trinkets that surely reminded them of their childhood.
The main highlight of the event was the kampong games where guests participated in games played mostly by kampong kids like marbles and walking on coconut shells to race one another. Also not forgetting was the lucky draw, where most of the prizes were kindly contributed by our management. With a top prize of a 42-inch television, it surely was exciting for all.
At lunchtime, everyone tucked into the generous spread of food while enjoying a couple of entertaining performances.
It was a joyous occasion for everyone as it also provided a chance for CCPEs and HQ staff to catch up with friends and also, making new friends.
Here’s to another successful year, CCPEs!

Aspire! EduServices (AES) Yearbook 2008/09 Launch
Article by: Norl Ali
During the 2nd Anniversary event at Batam on June 2009, it was announced that CCPE Alumni Initiative has been implemented for former CCPEs to network and bond despite leaving the profession. To compliment this endeavour, a publication has been recommended to remember those days in showcasing past activities for the year. This gave birth to the creation of Aspire! EduServices (AES) Yearbook 2008/09.
The management would include company information along with related event details to form the content of the publication. It comprises of CCPE committees details, activities, best practices, boot camp details and cluster group details along with management reports. The topics have been grouped into management and CCPE sections. The AES HQ will handle the management portion while the other portion will be assigned to a CCPE yearbook committee comprising of ten people from the CCPE Project staff.
The six CCPE Members are: Hock Hwa, Sussie, Melvin, Rathai, Nisha and Riduan; who will handle the information gathering for each topic. They will be supervised by Mas Minarni as the Assistant Editor, who in turn account to the Editor, Norl. The Editor will work with the Designer, Resource Officer and the Management Representative in consolidating articles and other elements to create the yearbook. The Designer creates the page layouts while the Resource Officer, who is Zubaidah from HQ, will consolidate relevant photos for the design phase. The Management Representative, Boon Chuan, would advise on development of the yearbook on behalf of management.
The completion of the yearbook is expected to be on 15 June 2009 in line with CCPE Project 3rd Anniversary event to launch the publication. The yearbook promises to be a visual delight packed with pictures and relevant articles. It would send those browsing it down memory lane of days past for the year especially former colleagues, who wish to reminisce their days. Thus, the yearbook serves as a good complement to the CCPE Alumni Initiative of Aspire! as well as an annual archive for company use.

Assisi Charity Fun Day
2 May @ SJI International Article by: Alan Teo

It was an honour to have Guest-of-Honour, Patron Ms Ho Ching visted our game stalls during the event.
A total of $3,402.50 was collected from the 5 game stalls managed by Aspire! on 2 May 2009 during the Assisi Charity Fun Day 2009. The stalls were managed by CCPEs, Aspire! HQ staff and Pertapis volunteers.
We had a lot of fun manning the game stall, attracting customers to patronize our games and also entertaining the little ones. The children were so excited, jumpy and hilarious. We even had some “loyal” customers who had frequent our game stall several times so that they could win the top prize.
Congratulations to Game Stall (Nautical) led by Alicia for emerging as winner for the Aspire! Best Stall.
The organizers, on behalf of the patients and FMDM Sisters, extended their heartfelt gratitude to us for our kind participation at the event.

Pertapis Charity Golf: Swing for Hope

Aspire! EduServices Pte Ltd was one of the sponsors for the inaugural Pertapis Charity Golf themed “Swing for Hope” held at the Keppel Golf Course on 9th April 2009.
The team was represented by Victor Pinto, Jerome Teo, Rockey Michael, and Muhammad Iskandar. Jerome and Rockey were in the same group of one buggy while Victor and Iskandar were in another. The Aspire! team was initially nervous playing as the others were avid golfers and it has been a long time since they teed. But as the time elapsed, they became more confident and overcame the tough course. Just as they were getting into the rhythm of swing, it rained heavily so the team had no choice but to take shelter. While waiting for the sky to clear, simple light refreshments were served. When the rain stopped, the team continued playing and managed to complete the 17th hole before the last light.
Winning or losing is not important. It is the sportsmanship and benevolence. What most important is that the participation is for the needy. It is crystal clear that many participants went home tired but contented and thankful that although economic times are not so positive at this critical juncture, Aspire! has done the fair bit of charitable generosity.
